Product Description
Parts in "Versatile Plastic" material to complete the model of the  motorship "Sinekura 2" in 1:200 scale:
  • Hull
  • Main deck

To complete the ship, four different sets of 3D prints are needed:
Additionally, further parts are available to complete the model:
  • Cargo hold
to complete the model with an open cargo hold

If you want to add functionality to the model, two sets of prints are available to help you make the basic RC functions work:
  • Functional parts
Includes the basic parts for RC installation for the main rudder (rudder lever), the bow thruster, the crane rotation and possibly the crane lift function and to install a small geared motor for the radar
  • Brass hook for crane
Intended to support the RC functionality with a hook that has sufficient weight

A display stand is currently not available (yet).

Size of the model:
  length:     25 cm
  width:      6 cm

The "Sinekura 2" is a  typical multi-purpose coastal transport vessel with high versatility even under difficult conditions. She is operated by Onego Shipping in Russia. The fact that she is equipped with a 25 ton crane makes her somewhat unique. She was built 1988 in Japan.

Technical details of the original
    length  50 m
    beam    12 m
    tonnage 724 tons

The model is designed in 1:200 scale. It can be built as a model for static display or as a working RC boat. It is set up to enable radio control functions (RC), with single shaft and rudder as well as the bow thruster fully functional. As the model is rather small, the model can only be used in  quiet water conditions. Additionally, the radar and lights can be set up to work, additional function such as the crane can be added by a skilled modeller, too. However, this model is not set up to be ready to run, it requires refinement and is only suitable for skilled model builders.

To complete the boat as an radio controlled model, besides the set of printed parts for RC functionality further components are needed. It requires the advanced skills and experience to complete this. For the drive, the following parts are needed:
  • one 4 gram servo for steering (recommended: ES-07 by Modelcraft)
  • 7mm motor for main propulsion (recommended: M700L by Sol Expert)
  • 1mm shaft and 2mm stern tube (brass tubes, to be built yourself)
  • two gears M0.4 with 10 and 25 teeth for main propulsion, 1mm holes, 2mm wide (recommended: gears by KK Produkcja, you need to get the 25 teeth one as customer order, I recommend "Delrin" as material, the custom order form is the first in the list of gears)
  • 4mm motor for main propulsion (recommended: M450 by Sol Expert)
  • two gears M0.4 with 6 teeth (0.7mm hole) and 11 teeth (1mm hole)for bow thruster, 2mm wide (recommended: gears by KK Produkcja)
  • A G125 geared motor for the radar (recommended product G125 by Sol Expert)
  • RC system, batteries and controllers of your own choice, preferably a small system with a low weight

As a propeller, you can use the one as part of the set. Alternatively, a metal propeller can be used if it is no larger than 10mm in diameter. See Hobby Lobby (ID 7-30210, photo etched) or STEBA (ID 7510, 10mm with hole four-blade, page 26 of their catalogue) for options.
