A Nixie tube is an electronic device for displaying numerals using glow discharge. The tubes were made in the early 70s but soon replaced by LEDs. In the former Soviet Union, Nixies were still being manufactured in the 1980s, so Russian and Eastern European Nixies are still available.
This nixie clock uses an old russian IN-18 tube. The device was made by Konstantin from Kosbo.com in england. He offers a lot of great nixie clocks and kits on his online-shop!
