Product Description
The FGM-148 Javelin aka AAWSM - Advanced Anti-Tank Weapon System Medium produced by Raytheon / Lockheed Martin, is a man-portable 'fire-and-forget' ATGM - AntiTank Guided Missile system with an effective range of 2.5 km. It was designed to defeat heavily armored vehicles such as main battle tanks and lighter-skinned military vehicles. The Javelin's HEAT - High Explosive Anti-Tank warhead can defeat modern tanks by top attack, hitting them from above where their armor is thinnest and is also useful against fortifications, bunkers, and helicopters in a direct attack flight. It first entered service with the US military in 1996. The Ukrainian military has used Javelin missiles extensively in combat during the 2022 Russian invasion in Ukraine, where the missile has shown to be highly effective against Russian main battle tanks and other armored vehicles.
This kit contains all necessary parts for assembling ONE FGM-148 Javelin rocket launcher miniature (closed) at 1/35 scale. It can make a fine diorama display alongside same scale figures or other miniature vehicles, although it will look just fine on its own of course. The 1/35 scale miniature is available as x1, as x2 and x3 multipack option, while it's also available at 1/15 scale, at 1/16 scale, at 1/18 scale, at 1/24 scale and 1/35 scale as well. Any extra diorama accessories are not included and should be purchased separately.
