The Avro 504 was a superb British trainer and was widely used in a long-lived series. By 1917-18, the Avro 504 had found its niche as a well-behaved training machine, but some
Avro 504Ks were converted to Home Defense duties in the north of England, where they served with five Squadrons through the end of the war. A single Lewis gun was mounted above the top wing on a Foster mount.
This product models an armed one-seater 504K, as was used for Home Defense. There is also available an
unarmed two-seater, as might be used for training.
This product comes in both 1:144 and 1:285/6mm/1:288 scales.
The 1:285 product includes two aeroplanes, joined by a disposable link.
