Tamiya TL01 Long Arm Set For Modern Parts

This is a full set of lower suspension arms for converting a Tamiya TL01 or TL01-LA to use modern, easily sourced Tamiya touring car suspension parts. The Long Arm style has similar geometry to the Tamiya 51353 Reversible Arms, massively improve the suspension geometry of the car.

In this case, these arms are compatible with the TRF416/TA05V2 onwards line of parts including:
For the front:
54580 - 4 Deg Caster Reinforced C-Hubs
54546 - 6 Deg Caster Reinforced C-Hubs
51293 - 0 deg Plastic C-Hubs
51352 - TB03 Plastic Knuckles
54568 - TRF418 Reinforced Knuckles
And any parts compatible with the suspension on the TA06 / TA07 / TB03 / TB04 / TB05 / TRF416 / TRF417 / TRF418 / TRF419. Note the latest TRF420 won't fit because they use a 3mm pin.

I would suggest using a combination of the 54580 reinforced 4 deg C-hubs to improve the steering, and 51352 plastic knuckles to maintain durability.

For the rear arms, parts compatibilty is as follows:
51354 - TB03/TA06 Rear E-Parts
51333- TRF416 Reinforced E-Parts
54570 - TRF418 Reinforced E-Parts
54692 - TRF419 Reinforced E-Parts
And any parts compatible with the suspension on the TA06 / TA07 / TB03 / TB04 / TB05 / TRF416 / TRF417 / TRF418 / TRF419. Note the latest TRF420 won't fit because they use a 3mm pin.

I would suggest using the 51333 TRF416 reinforced uprights. They have 2 holes to give some tuning options for the length of the camber link, which the other versions don't. Reinforced plastic improves the strength.

Parts also required for the conversion: 
2.6mm hinge pins - either 53825 regular or 53917 ti coated hinge pins (these are full sets for front and rear)
M3 x 3mm grub screw, x 4. These are for retaining the hinge pins in the uprights.
Longer driveshafts - 51216 dogbones or any 44mm swingshaft universals. 
9808192 wheel axles if using 42mm driveshafts
53640 aluminium ball nuts for attaching upper camber links (This set contains 10 nuts, so you only need one set per car)
54075 - TB03 Kingpin Set
M3 x 12mm grub screws x 2, for screwing into the top of the upright to then mount the ball nut
M3 x 10mm screw x 4, for attaching the ball nuts to the shock tower on the tub.
3x32mm turnbuckles x 4, to make camber links from
53601, 5mm low friction adjusters, for using with the turnbuckles to make the camber links (This set contains 8 adjusters, so you only need one set per car)
8 x 1050 bearings for the uprights.

The arms are supplied with fixed 2.5 deg toe in.

This is the complete set of arms for 1 car. You can buy individual arms on the store separately for spares.

Before fitting, run a 3mm drill or reamer through the inboard hinge pin hole, and a 2.6mm drill or reamer through the outer hinge pin hole. It is recommended to tap the mounting holes for the shocks if using ball screws, but if using step screws, let them self tap.
