Product Description
The perovskite crystal structure is typified by calcium titanium oxide (CaTiO3). The mineral perovskite was discovered by Gustav Rose in the Ural mountains of Russia in 1839. It is named after L. A. Perovski, the Russian mineralogist. Perovskite, loparite, and bridgmanite are the natural minerals with this structure. The chemical formula for mateirals with the perovskite structure is ABX3, where 'A' and 'B' are two cations (A is larger than B) and X is an anion.
Perovskites have many interesting physical properties. These include superconductivity, magnetoresistance, ionic conductivity, various dielectric properties, and photovoltaic properties.
