Product Description
Transforming figure from robot to cassette tape. Robot stands 6.5cm tall. Cassette mode is 4.4cm by 3.3cm, 0.8cm thick. Assembly pegs and tabs together holding together with friction. There are two screw ports on the back(perhaps screws from an old watch will fit or just use a dab of glue if you like). The body comes with a head but for best/consistent results i strongly recommend also buying the LittleBigMan - Head in smothest fine detail(not pictured here sadly). Accessories(pile drivers and guns) are also in seperate listings. 4 product listing including the smoothest fine detail head to complete figure fully.
This figure is intended to provide an option that is not constrained by a Soundwave figure for the LittleBigMan character at legends scale size.
Update: this now comes in a variant Masterpiece cassette size in, bot mode. I am not sure this will fit a Masterpiece Soundwave or not. Select the "large" variant from the drop down. The guns will likely also include a variant to match.
Notes
Variants:
Medium - Legends Scale
Large - Masterpiece Scale
The joint tolerences on this figure should be fairly good, the ball joints will snap together and not fall off. Although the joints may not be so tight especially after working the joints. I hope though that this allows for painting the figure and building up paint layers including what i used clear nail polish which should also protect the paint. Some sanding/shaving maybe needed on other tight fits such as the hidden away inside of the lower leg as foot folds round, you can work this area so it doesnt catch and will be hidden from view anyway. Included in this set is a little mask to help paint the face, visor and face, tricky to hold the mask in place but i did start the initial face outline to keep it neat particularly..
Step by step process:
1. seperate parts from sprues, clip them off or twist and break off being careful no damage is made to the parts.
2. clean sprue edges, take time to cut sprue edges off as cleanly and as flushly as possible to insure the eventual finish and work parts are not affected. Also make sure no clumps of powder are hiding in the grooves and corners.
3. assemble and test, start painting first coat when you are ready.
4. test the figure again with the paint, once the first layer of paint is on you can spot roughness so i use a small flathead screwdriver flat on one sude against the surfaces and to slowly flatten and smoothen any rougher than desired areas, be careful you want to leave better smoother surfaces or edges but not scrar the sufaces/edges with gouges. Make any other final corrections you wish.
5. finish with final layers of paint and varnish coats. the more time and care you take the better the final resull can be i find.
