Product Description
Catalog of over 2500 scale models and nameplates (click here).

Scale: 1/350

Notice: These masts are not printable in smaller scales including 1/700 scale.  In scales smaller than 1/350, the cage masts become too fragile to survive brutal printing and cleaning processes.

Set includes 2 cage masts, the foremast and mainmast.  Fighting tops and searchlights are not included.  A single cage foremast is also available (click here).

Recommended for:
These accurately sized, shaped and highly detailed models represent the cage masts of Colorado-class and Tennessee-class battleships as they appeared from the late 1930s through December 7th, 1941:
  • USS Tennessee BB-43
  • USS California BB-44
  • USS Colorado BB-45
  • USS Maryland BB-46
  • USS Washington BB-47 (never completed)
  • USS West Virginia BB-48

Overall dimensions scaled from official US Navy "Booklet of General Plans: USS West Virginia BB-48" dated November 30, 1939.  Details were adjusted to match high-resolution photos of the actual ship obtained from the National Archives by Mr. Martin J. Quinn.

Features:
  • detailed supporting structure
  • service catwalks for the mainmast searchlight platform
  • ship's bell

Install the mainmast so that the ship's bell is aft.

Dimensions:
  • Foremast height = 28.87 mm  (1.14 inches)
  • Foremast base diameter = 9.82 mm  (0.386 inches)
  • Mainmast height = 74.57 mm  (2.936 inches)
  • Mainmast base diameter = 20.92 mm (0.824 inches)

Please compare these measurements to your resin battleship kit to ensure the fighting tops of your model will be level.

 Suitable for models of:
  • USS Tennessee BB-43
  • USS California BB-44
  • USS Colorado BB-45
  • USS Maryland BB-46
