Product Description
Up until this point in terms of size, the prefix of the ship's name indicated the number of banks of oars. Here, not so much. The "quad" in quadrireme indicates the number of rowers visible in the cross-section. In the case of this ship, given the huge difference in the length of the oars, the most likely configuration is to have three rowers on each upper oar, and only one on each lower oar. As in the case of the smaller Roman trireme, the ships were usually built standard with towers for archers and a corvus for boarding enemy ships, but such additions will be included on separate variants. This model has only the holes in the deck for pins or flags. I decided to include two, since quadriremes are large ships that can carry an entire centuri (100 men, led by a centurion).
Ordering the extra small variant will give you a single ship.
Ordering the small variant will give you four ships.
Ordering the medium variant will give you eight ships.
Ordering the large variant will give you fourteen ships.
Ordering the extra large variant will give you twenty-five ships. - available in black and white only, due to size constraints
