Original HWP-4WD 1.5" HO Slot Car Chassis

HWP's original  4 Wheel Drive  Quad-Traction chassis uses a double ended N20 12v motor. (Motor not included -  you can find them for sale on eBay). Uses your favorite standard HO slot car parts (sorry - also not included).  JAG Hobbies has all the running gear parts you need except the motor... axles,  gears, and Tyco-Pro style wipers if you choose not to run braids.  K& J Magnetics is a great source for magnets. And most local hardware stores will carry the set/grub screws needed for the magnet barrels.

Note, due to the motor's shaft length, this experimental chassis has a fixed 1.5" wheelbase. Using the separately available body clips, you can attach many 1.5 wheelbase bodies including AFX, AW, Tyco, Microscalextric, Lexans, etc. (just need to ensure they have clearance for the magnet tubes.).

For those who haven't built one of the SL chassis before, the axle holes are deliberately undersized so the builder can drill them to the axle diameter of their preference. Use a drill bit and twist by hand to open up the axle holes. Use sandpaper or jewelers file to open up the rear axle slots until you get a secure snap-in fit.
