16mm scale 45mm gauge SM45 G Scale FR Slate Wagon

This is a model of a Ffestiniog Railway 3-ton slate wagon for 16mm scale on Gauge 1 track. The body above the floor is absolutely to scale for 16mm to the foot or 1:19. The chassis has been widened but incorporates as many elements of Ffestiniog design as possible. Please email me at purchasing@pvmr.co.uk for more information. I can also supply a detailed set of instructions. To complete this wagon you will need axleboxes, wheelsets and couplings. I can supply these direct, though you can of course source your own (you will need 24mm diameter wheels, disk or curly-spoked, with a maximum 27mm flange diameter and a 63mm-long axle, plus axleboxes to suit). 3D printed axleboxes are available (see https://www.shapeways.com/model/1649206/16mm-scale-ffestiniog-axleboxes.html?li=aeTabs). The wagons will also need a floor panel, 115mm x 60.5mm x 1mm thick. I can supply these in plastic but it is probably better for the customer to make his or her own. 3D-printed wagons can vary very slightly in size, so making a floor for a specific wagon is the best way to get a good fit. It also gives you the option of a metal floor, to add weight: I don't manufacture metal floors myself.
