Product Description

The M-18A1 Claymore is a directional anti-personnel mine developed for the United States Armed Forces. Its inventor, Norman MacLeod, named the mine after a large Scottish medieval sword. Unlike a conventional land mine, the Claymore is command-detonated and directional, meaning it is fired by remote-control and shoots a pattern of metal balls into the kill zone like a shotgun. The Claymore can also be victim-activated by booby-trapping it with a tripwire firing system for use in area denial operations. The Claymore fires steel balls, out to about 100 m (110 yd) within a 60 degrees arc in front of the device. It is used primarily in ambushes and as an anti-infiltration device against enemy infantry. It is also used against unarmored vehicles.

This kit contains all necessary parts for assembling ONE Claymore M-18 mine and ONE M-57 detonator switch miniature under 1/15 scale, to be used with same 120mm scale figures. The miniature is also available in x1, x3, x5, x10, x15 and x20 multipack options. Any extra diorama accessories are not included and should be purchased separately.
