1/1200 Viking Longship (Sailing) Game Pieces

The longship, although it may not look like much, is a brilliantly-designed vessel that gave the Norse the ability to sail all over Europe and even down into the Mediterranean Sea.  Longships were built to be fast and manoeuverable, especially in shallow water, though they perform very well in the open ocean as well.  They were so versatile that the Norse were able to use them to raid all over the northern coast of Europe and the British Isles, sail to the New World centuries before Christopher Columbus was even born, and trade with the Byzantine Empire.

This particular longship has 30 oars, and its sail is deployed to take advantage of the wind.
