285 Scale Federation F-16 "Falcon" Fighter MGL

The F-16 was the advanced version of the National Guard’s planetary defense fighter, supplementing the earlier F-4. Using separate fighter types on ships and planets meant that the fleet could not “borrow” fighters from planetary defenses. Originally it carried only two anti-fighter drones (useless against ships) and was intended to protect the planet from fighter raids (while the F-4s kept raiding ships at bay). When such raids proved rare, the F-16s were upgraded to F-16Cs with anti-ship drones (a separate miniature to be available later) and the F-4 was phased out of service.
