Product Description
The Westland Wasp was a British shipboard anti-submarine helicopter. It saw service with the Royal Navy . During the Falklands War it contributed to the disabling of the Argentinian submarine, Santa Fe.
It also saw service with the Brazillian Navy, Indonesian Navy, Royal Malaysian Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy, Royal New Zealand Navy and the South-African Navy (operated by the South-African Air Force).
This conversion set can be used to create a 1/72 scale Westland Wasp from a 1/72 scale Airfix Westland Scout model.
The conversion set includes:
The Westland Wasp could carry two Mk11 depth charges, two Mk44 Torpedoes or two AS12 anti-ship missiles. Mk11 depth charges, Mk44 Torpedoes and AS.12 air-to-surface missiles are available in 1/72 scale and can be ordered seperately.
Parts are printed on sprues to reduce printing costs and may require additional sanding and processing before used.
