Product Description
This kit is for the serious hobbyist wanting to build a realistic magnetically guided race car with off-the-shelf, inexpensive 2.4ghz RC gear!  CK8 includes 21 plastic pieces held together by sprue. CK8 accommodates longer wheelbases and provides a larger area for the electronics than CK7. Otherwise they are nearly identical except for mounting of motor.

Features of CK8 include the following:

Front suspension beams and servo pocket integrated with base frame as one piece.

Adjustable wheelbase from 2.90” to 3.30”.  That’s 93” to 106” at full scale !
(If motor is glued to back of battery box and floor of motor pod, with narrow side down, 2.77” wheel base is possible.)

1.85” wide frame, except at ends of battery where it is 1.92” or 61” at full scale.

Four pairs of steering knuckles providing 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 degrees of negative camber, and two tie rods providing 0.5 or 1.5 degrees of toe in, eliminate front end shimmy, which improves handling and lane changing.

Steering geometry based on Ackermann Principle improves handling around tight corners. Recommended minimum turn radius for guide wire of tight track corners is 9".

Uses much stronger .029" diameter stainless steel pins instead of plastic pins to connect steering linkage.

Front track/tread only 1.85” with typical wheels---the equivalent of only 59” at full scale !

Accommodates front tire diameters from 0.70” to 0.80”.

22mm x 44mm floor pan for mounting receiver and ESC boards.

Fits more bodies with cockpit intact due to thinner profile in mid-section of chassis.

New & improved system for mounting body to chassis, uses 2 magnets in rear and 1 steel pin in front, or 1 magnet in front, or 2 magnets in front. Mounting system accommodates all body styles.

Race for nearly an hour on a single charge.

New and improved bottom loading battery compartment, for easy change of battery.

Uses bronze/brass spring strip instead of magnets for electrical connectors at battery terminals.

If needed, includes hole on each side of frame between front wheels, for 2mm dia x 3mm long magnet to push guide arm back toward middle, when car veers off guide wire in track.

Easy to adjust gap between guide magnet and servo magnet with use of M2 screw.

Does not require hard to find batteries with magnetic positive (+) terminal.

Does NOT accommodate longer protected 10440 (Size AAA) 3.7v rechargeable batteries.

Use with your pistol grip transmitter, receiver, electronic speed control (ESC), and HK-5320 servo. Motor, pinion gear, spur gear, magnets, stainless steel pins, and screws  available from the designer, SedonaMagracer, for a nominal charge. Designed to be used with 3/32" diameter front and rear axles, along with wheels, tires, and body typically used on 1/32 slot cars.
