3125 Scale Romulan Shrike+ Light Dreadnought MGL

When other empires deployed fast cruisers and fast dreadnoughts as raiders, the Romulans followed suit by redesigning their Condor dreadnought into a slimmer and lighter design that used the same engines as the larger Condor. This gave the ship more speed in strategic movement and more power in tactical combat. It was designed to raid deep behind enemy lines and to destroy key targets, but only one was built as the Romulans (trying to catch up in building a modern fleet) could not spare dreadnought production slots for a lighter and less powerful ship. The only ship of this type was lost on a raid behind Gorn lines but destroyed a key logistics node that stopped a Gorn offensive for over a year. The Shrike+ was produced during the late war period in the shipyards of a different Great House than the original, accounting for the visual difference.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. (Transparent acrylic makes an excellent cloaked ship!) Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
