1/72 AMX Tracteur C

The "Tractor C" of AMX (from which the study begins in 1939) was a competitor project of tank-fortress FCM F1, also intended for the destruction of the German strengthened lines. This tank multi-turrets had a crew of 6 men including 2 drivers, which made it possible to the tank to make reverse walk instantaneously. The weight was evaluated to 140 tons. It was to be 9.375 m long, 3 m broad and 3.26 m in height. The suspension included on each side 24 road-wheels, 13 return rollers, 1 back sprocket-wheel and 1 idler. The shielding of the vertical parts was thick at least of 100 mm. The two turrets were moulded. The principal turret in front was to be equipped with a gun (long) of 105 mm and the secondary turret on the back was to be equipped with a gun of 47 mm (this turret was slightly shifted towards the right). The armament was to be supplemented by 4 machine-guns of 7.5 mm. The Tractor C remained however at the stage of the drawings boards.
