Product Description
Full-color 3d model of the stratovolcano Mount Saint Helens, located in the Cascade Range in Washington. You can see the the crater in exquisite detail. The Plains of Abraham are clearly visible. You can also see the "lucky trees" along the Ape Canyon trailhead on the SE side of the model. Finally, Spirit Lake is visible towards the top of the model.

Note: Looks best in the natural full-color sandstone material.

Details from Wikipedia:
Mount St. Helens is an active stratovolcano located in Skamania County, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is 50 miles northeast of Portland, Oregon and 96 miles south of Seattle, Washington. Mount St. Helens takes its English name from the British diplomat Lord St Helens, a friend of explorer George Vancouver who made a survey of the area in the late 18th century. The volcano is located in the Cascade Range and is part of the Cascade Volcanic Arc, a segment of the Pacific Ring of Fire that includes over 160 active volcanoes. This volcano is well known for its ash explosions and pyroclastic flows.

About the Shape:
I chose the hexagon shape for a couple reasons. First, it's reminiscent of tiles from the game Settlers of Catan. Secondly, it's a dynamic, interactive shape that can be pieced together with other pieces, or left on its own.
