LMS 6 wheel Milk Van body with slatted sides in N gauge (1:148)
LMS 6 wheel milk van body only, with slatted sides, requires a Midland Railway style underframe Builder will need to create a flat floor of 0.5mm plastic or brass, solebars and then build running gear and buffers. Roof will require light sanding on a very flat sheet of fine wet-n-dry paper to remove ridges.
Entire body will require thorough cleaning to remove any support wax, eg by ultrasonic cleaner, before painting. Holes are provided for door handrails. This model is based on original LMS drawings and dimensions, and enables a scale model to be made far more easily than laminating etched brass to make the characteristic deep framing.
This model has been offered in response to a customer's request, N is not my scale so I have not tried building one in this size myself. Please send a photo of a completed model!
