53 ft 6 in Flat Car, Steel Underframe, 1/200

This flat car is based on a drawing of Flat Cars number 62500-62599, built by American Car and Foundry Co. for North Pacific Railroad in 1943. These were typical US Flat cars for this era, and nearly identical flat cars could be found on nearly all US Railroads between 1920 and 1980, and also widely exported over Lend Lease to Great Britain, Soviet Union, and other countries. On many photos, seen in dock yards loaded with bulky equipment for warships.
