d42 "Dice, the Universe, and Everything"

After deep thought, it was discovered that this die is the answer to the ultimate question of dice, the universe, and everything.
Unfortunately, no one knows what the question is.

Upon close inspection, this reveals itself to be a faceted sphere which has been labelled with the numbers "1" though "42" (with each number located opposite of one of 42 possible landing positions).
The natural occurrence of such object as a mere coincidence is, of course, infinitely improbably.
