Now the serious hobbyist can build a realistic looking and performing magnetically guided car with off-the-shelf, inexpensive 2.4ghz RC gear! CK7 includes 12 plastic pieces held together by sprue.
Designed to help you build an ultra-small magracing chassis to fit your existing 1/32 scale, short and narrow model race car body. Fits classic race cars such as Alfa Romeo T33/3 Spider, Porsche 917 K, Chaparral 2C, Chaparral 2F, Ferrari 312 PB, Ferrari 512S, and Shelby Cobra.
Features of CK7 include the following:
Adjustable wheelbase from 2.70” to 3.20”. That’s 85” to 102” at full scale !
1.85” wide frame, except at ends of battery where it is 1.94” or 62” at full scale.
Frontend design incorporates 1.5 degree of positive toe and 2 degrees of negative camber which greatly improves handling and lane changing.
Steering geometry based on Ackermann Principle.
Uses .029" diameter stainless steel pins instead of plastic to connect steering linkage.
21" diameter turning circle accommodates 9.5" radius guide wire.
Front track/tread only 1.85” with typical wheels---the equivalent of only 59” at full scale !
Wider front track available on request.
.82" x 1.75" floor pan for mounting electronics.
Receiver and ESC located by builder so as to minimize interference with cockpit.
Fits more bodies with cockpit intact due to thinner profile in mid-section of chassis.
Motor can be mounted on edge to minimize wheelbase or mounted flat to minimize interference with body behind cockpit.
New & improved system for mounting body to chassis, uses 2 magnets in rear and 1 steel pin in front, or 1 magnet in front, or 2 magnets in front. Accommodates all body styles.
Race for nearly an hour on a single charge.
Bottom loading battery compartment for quick and easy change of battery.
Uses bronze/brass spring strip instead of magnets for electrical connectors at battery terminals.
Does not require hard to find batteries with magnetic positive (+) terminal.
Does NOT accommodate longer protected 10440 (Size AAA) 3.7v rechargeable batteries.
Use with your pistol grip transmitter, receiver, electronic speed control (ESC), and HK-5320 servo. Motor, pinion gear, spur gear, magnets, stainless steel pins, and screws available from the designer, SedonaMagracer, for a nominal charge. Designed to be used with 3/32" diameter front and rear axles, along with wheels, and tires typically used on 1/32 slot cars.
