The Enzmann Torch Starship is a Nuclear Powered Vessel 2500 Feet long and could be built today with no new breakthrough's in technology. Able to carry up to 1000 people and obtain near relativistic velocity. The thrust comes from a ship length magnetic mirror system with a plasma leak at one end. Traveling wave's (magnetic parastaltiac waves run the length of the magnetic confinement and the pulsing magnetic release of the plasma provides the thrust. With all the new extra solar planets being discovered these days, It is now a higher probability that we as humans will build ships like these and attempt colonization and or exploratory flights in ships like these in our lifetimes. It may be a matter of human survival.
