Product Description
Here is one (1) wooden hopper car based upon plans from a Jack Work article in Model Railroader from October, 1958. Dimensions have been modified from the original article to adapt to HOn3. I made a few of these years ago out of cardboard and stripwood, a rather time consuming process. I wanted a few more, so rather than cardboard and wood, I drew it up to be 3-D printed. The car is 22 feet long - the same as the Tichy wood ore cars. The prototypes were found all over - including the railroad I base my layout off of - the Morenci Southern. Will require some brass wire, miniature chain, stirrup steps, trucks, couplers, and weight to complete. Final assembly is fairly straightforward, a few holes for grab irons and coupler boxes need to be drilled. BTW, even though it says hoppercar(6) - that is the file name - this was the 6th version I uploaded - this price is for one car.
