3125 Scale Franz Joseph Federation Destroyer (DD)

The Federation built several ship types using common (or nearly common) parts. The Federation destroyer hull uses a modified saucer and one engine from the heavy cruiser to create a small ship for a small mission. There were several ships of this type with varying weapons arrays. This type, the "Franz Joseph" destroyer, had four photon torpedoes and six phaser-1s. Underpowered, it used only two photons during open combat, but became a powerful siege engine used to destroy Klingon and Romulan bases.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
