Product Description
This is an ejector pump suitable for kitchen fume extraction.
It uses the Bernoulli principle to create a vaccuum at its inlet powered by a small jet of compressed air injected through a small hole in the central cone. Some post processing is required to make this work. The jet hole needs to be drilled out to 0.8mm and the jet cone entrance needs to be tapped to accept a BSP pipe threaded compressed air fitting.
Piping, fittings and a ball valve are required to supply the compressed air and turn it on and off. you will also need a supply of compressed air between 60 and 100psi. A small garage compressor positioned remotely will do this.
The exit orifice is designed to fit inside standard 100mm kitchen exctractor pipe and the whole is mounted via screw holes in the exit flange.
To make into a kitchen extractor you may also want to mount it inside a box and optionally add a filter although it could be used as is. One of the main advantages of this design is that it has no moving parts in the airflow and so will not stop working and is easy to clean by disassembling and washing with isopropyl alcohol.
