Consolidated P2Y-3 1/285 6mm

The only model of the Consolidated P2Y-3 in 6mm scale. Almost 50 of these large flying boats were built. They could carry 2000 pounds of bombs and were notable for their long range. The P2Y-3 was a development of Consolidated's earlier PY flying boat design (which was produced by Martin, who offered to build them cheaper). They served as maritime patrol aircraft from 1933 to 1941 with the U.S. Navy.
