The only model of the
Boeing XB-15 in
6mm scale. Development started in 1934 to see if it was possible to build a heavy bomber with a 5000 mile range. The sole prototype flew in 1937 and set a number of records. At the time it was the biggest airplane ever built in the
United States. For a time designated the
XBLR-1, the aircraft spent it's last 18 months as the
XC-105 transport flying for the
USAAF.
