The "Granit" is an anchor handling vessel used in offshore and supply operations. Currently operated by Lotos Petrobaltic (the same company that discovered the wreck of the lost German aircraft carrier "Graf Zeppelin" in 2006), the vessel was built in Poland in 1980. The ship operates largely in the Baltic Sea.

The Model is designed in 1:200 scale. It can be built as a model for static display or as a working RC boat. It is set up to enable radio control functions (RC), with the twin shaft propulsion, the rudders and the bow thruster fully functional. As the model is rather small, the model can only be used in quiet water conditions. Additionally, the radar and lights can be set up to work, and the crane can be made to work by a skilled modeller, too. However, this model is not set up to be ready to run, it requires refinement and is only suitable for skilled model builders.
To complete the boat as an radio controlled model, further components are needed. It requires the advanced skills and experience to complete this. For the drive, the following parts are needed:
