Product Description
The front of the Tamiya KingCab and Monster racer were not as stout as we had all hoped. The load of an impact usually cracked the hard to find and expensive chassis and usually relegated the model to she shelf.
Shelf no more! The Ampro Engineering front bumper set allows the 081008-01 KingCab Front Bumper Mount to absorb the impact using Elastoplastic (SLS Nylon is a discouraged option only to be used for shelfers) and will accept the standard front bumper to be installed. Optionally, the 081009-01 KingCab Front Bumper and 081009-02 KingCab Front Bumper with Aux Lights bumper can b e used for that baja look (Aux lights are standard Tamiya units like the Hornet and are not included). Finally, to make sure the front end is completely safe, the 081010-01 KingCab Front Skid Plate is used with the Front Bumper mount to deflect the impact away from the chassis.
Please note that though this is a bumper, it is not designed for impacts. It is for display and though capable of deflection, it was not tested in such an application.
