Lead time 1 month. Not for sale as a finished piece! Requires post processing by me!!! Large Bracelet may not fit most wrists and should be considered "Gallery Jewelry".
The Rising Tides Bracelet was made to highlight the effects of rising seas on the totality of earths circumference. On one side New York city and the other a lonely polar bear floating on the last few remaining icebergs. Its all rather unpleasesant isnt it? That is why Ive commited half my profits to the National Resource Council (or one of OUR choosing!) for the one I already have or any new ones made. This is a LIMITED EDITION of 3 total! 1 is already made and the other 2 will only be made upon request.
THIS IS AN INVOLVING AND COMPLEX WORK OF ART! I spent several weeks experimenting with various resins and color combinations to achieve this look. I used a polyurethane resin that also made a significant carbon footprint. This is not lost on me in the creation of such a piece and it only reaffrims my belief that we need to find better materials to make this process safe for future generations. This resin achieves a very hard "glass-like" quality. I do have many many images related to this pieces creation as well and am happy to share them with potential buyers.
3D printed "dams" held back resin as it was poured and then vacuum cast onto the inner ring. Polishing took several days and the final piece took 3 months from initial concept to completion.
I endured a severe alergic reaction to the resin and will need to find a safer alternative to polyurethanes if anyone knows of any!
