Product Description
STAAG is a microphone array that combines two near-coincident arrays (one forward-facing, and one rearward facing). The concept is that front and rear components are blended to adjust the perception of natural room ambience.
The STAAG Microphone Array Mount 20mm/21mm is designed to accommodate 1 pair of (front-facing) 20mm diameter microphones and one pair of (rear facing) 21mm diameter microphones. The front-facing pair is splayed at an 80 degree angle, The rear-facing pair is splayed at a 120 degree angle.
STAAG works well with cardioid mics in the front channels and shotgun mics in the rear channels, however many combinations can be used successfully in a variety of situations.
