Product Description
This is a design for the National Gallery of Denmark's Jewelry Design Contest. Our little tribute to the picture of Melancholia of Cranach.

We have made a piece with the three geometric elements that Cranach used to begin the narration of dimensions in the picture.

From the lines, the flexion through the circle and its representation like a spherical container, Cranach opens windows to a world where other dimensions of the human temporality are represented.

Looking to adapt these elements in a lighter earring, suspended with a gentle movement, we have designed a piece with a perfect, twistable sphere, and one vertical cut that reveals a new dimension of convex reflections inside itself, like a dimensional container trying to simulate the dimensions of the window in Cranach’s picture.

We are still looking for the perfect combination of materials, size and holographic effects, but this is the idea. Thank you.
