I'm not a fan of Metallica, but I like the idea, expressed in the title of the latest album of the popular rock band. "Hardwired to self-destruct". Is Our world, our civilization predestined to self-destruction?
For millions of years mankind lived in internecine wars and kannibilizme. War has always been the engine of any technological progress. And the more powerful we become - the self-destructive. It would be naive to hope, that we all have changed drastically over the past 70 years.
Is our species really is cursed and predestined to self-destruction?
