Product Description
The French 155mm GPF Gun was designed during WW I and enters service in 1917. It was one of the best guns of this type and was widely used by the French and US-Troops during WW I. A modified version of this gun, the GPF-T are used by the French Troops until WW II. Around 450 pcs. are captured by the Germans and used as 15,5-cm-Kanone 418(f), some of them as coastal guns. The US Long-Tom Gun are based on this design too. Set of 2 in firing position.
Die Französische 155mm Kanone GPF wurde während des Ersten Weltkrieges entwickelt und ab 1917 eingeführt. Dieses sehr erfolgreiche Geschütz war weit verbreitet und wurde auch von der US Armee und dem Marine Korps verwendet. Eine modernisierte Variante (GPF-T) wurde bis zum Zeiten Weltkrieg durch die Franzosen verwendet. Circa 450 dieser Kanonen wurden von der Deutschen Wehrmacht erbeutet und als 15,5-cm-Kanone 418(f) u.A: in Küstenbatterien eingesetzt. 2er Satz in Feuerstellung.
