Product Description
This is the ear part for my DIY binaural mic, inspired by the 3Dio binaural mic.
order or print the mould and fill with silicone moulding rubber. Choose the lowest shore. This means that the material will be very soft like real ears.
Also print the mount for the binaural microphone.
Make a hole for the ear canal, insert 2 condenser microphones and lead the cables through the exit. Solder a stereo headphone jack to the end to insert the mic into the camera or recorder. Use 6 M4x20 bolts, nuts and washers to connect the ears to the sides. If you use a canon DSLR, use the magic lantern firmware to have some control over analog and digital gain.
Print this in the cheapest available material and re-use it! You can use the mould as many times as you like.
