Lloyd C.II (various scales)

Though the first Lloyd C.II's started to arrive at the front in August 1915, production delays pushed the bulk of them back to Spring-Summer 1916, primarily due to shortages of the 145hp Hiero engine.   They served with almost every Flik on the Italian and Russian fronts, with 70 produced overall.  After they were replaced at the front, they remained in the training role as late as autumn 1918.  The C.II was followed by the Lloyd C.III, which differed only in using a cowled 160hp Daimler engine.

This plane comes in both 1:144 and 1:285/6mm/1:288 scales.  The 1:285 product contains two aeroplanes, each with a detachable, translucent propeller disk rather than propeller blades, which are impossible to print at the smaller scale.  They are joined by disposable links to keep the price down, since single-part models are more affordable.  You can break the links with nail clippers, wire cutters, or similar.

DESIGNER NOTE:  Models at scales smaller than 1:144 may no longer be available.  Shapeways discontinued the material for which they were designed, and the newer materials require that each and every model be adjusted to thicken surfaces like wings.  If you are interested in a particular model in a small scale, please let me know and I will prioritize it higher in the queue.
