Product Description
The Pomilio PC (C.I) showed promise (especially when compared to obsolete twin-boom Savoia-Pomilio PS2 and SP3s), and about 70 were made before production was switched to the improved PD model.  While Italian crews complained about the PD (as they did with almost all types), its 200hp Fiat A.12 engine gave the plane good performance, and it served from mid 1917 through the end of the war.  Further improvements resulted in the Pomilio PE.   Probably around 431 PDs were constructed, of which 93 were dual control variants mostly used for training.

The 1:285/6mm/1:288 version of this product includes two aeroplanes, each with a detachable, translucent propeller disk rather than propeller blades.  They are joined by disposable links to keep the price down, since single-part models are more affordable.  You can break the links with nail clippers, wire cutters, or similar.

DESIGNER NOTE:  Models at scales smaller than 1:144 may no longer be available.  Shapeways discontinued the material for which they were designed, and the newer materials require that each and every model be adjusted to thicken surfaces like wings.  If you are interested in a particular model in a small scale, please let me know and I will prioritize it higher in the queue.
