Product Description
Kepler's model of the planets' orbits from his Mysterium Cosmographicum.
Kepler theorized there was a geometrical basis to the solar system represented by nesting the platonic solids embedded in spheres each inside the other with the outer hemisphere representing the orbit of Saturn.
The model was accurate within the known accuracy of the orbits of the 5 inner planets. Kepler later abandoned this view when more accurate measurements were available.
You can now have your own model for contemplating the mysteries of the universe. A great gift for the mathematician, astronomer, or steampunk aficionado
