Product Description
A Wind Mobil or simply”Wind Lover”

The story:
https://youtu.be/10NPkrdDmrw

As a kid I use to spend my summers at my grandfather place.
He owns a big garden and at the gate he mounted self made of wood and steel wires a wind driven humanoid figure about 40 cm high.
I was very fascinated how this figure moves at different motion schemes just by the force of wind.
Some birds did not like him but I was observing him during long periods of time but only when it was windy weather.
As the figure was there in all weather many years it gets rusty with some gaps on the axes so at low winds he makes different noises (asking for oil? ) when rotating and moving his arms.

I order to pass this wind driven humanoid figure to the younger population I decided to design it and put it in Shapeways shop.
I do believe that on the world we can find many similar ideas but never mind
this is my own contribution. The Wind Lover at stand still - see caption 2

The Wind Lover will rotate when blowing on it as indicated by the red arrows - see caption 1.

The idea is to build it as already assembled pieces with the body rotating on the pin of the base and the arms rotating free as well. It is meant that it will be not possible to disassembly this model without destroying it.
The arms axis rotation is no problem as enough space is given to remove not used material after manufacturing.
The position of the body during manufacturing is such that no parts of the base pin will glue to the body if the position
indicated above on the transparent body can be maintained. The gap between the body and the base during manufacturing is approx. 6mm - see caption 3,4.
After manufacturing it is necessary to move the parts in order to remove rest of the material which might remain inside the “heart” cavity.
After that it is expected that the body’s “heart” will rest on the pin while the “ball” on the base pin gets 0.5mm play inside the lower fixing - see caption 5.
The gap between the body and the base becomes now approx. 2mm - see caption 1.

When build in this way it is less dangerous for small children however only one colour can be chosen.
The idea is although that when made as white strong plastic it can be painted by water based paints freely.

Wind Lover is approx. 12 cm high and the weight is approx. 25g.
Wind Lover of higher height will be introduced after period of beta sales.
