Tatra T6B5 overview

The Tatra T6B5 is a part of the fourth and final generation of Tatra PCC trams, which were manufactured by ČKD Smíchov/Prague. This particular model was designed specifically to operate in cities throughout the Soviet Union, and is distinguished from other trams in the T5, T6, and T7 series by its greater width and less pointed front end.

Over 1150 of these trams were produced beginning in 1983, and some were even completed after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the bankruptcy of the ČKD company. These remaining trams were finished by the company Inekon up until the year 2007.
