The only model of the
Grumman JRF Goose in
6mm scale. This was Grumman's first monoplane to fly and its first twin-engine airplane. A light amphibious transport, it also provided
reconnaissance,
anti-submarine, and
air-sea rescue capability. It served with the
U.S. Navy,
Marines, and
Coast Guard as the
JRF, with the
Army Air Corps as the
OA-9 and
OA-13, and as the
Goose with the
Royal Air Force, the
Fleet Air Arm, and the
Royal Canadian Air Force. About 350 were built. This model represent the airplane resting on water.
