NOTE - NYLON IS NO LONGER OFFERED AS THE MATERIAL IS WEAKER THAN THE NEW FUSION PRINTS. THESE CAN BE PAINTED ANY COLOR YOU WANT AS THE NYLON VERSIONS WERE ALL WHITE AND DYED LOCALLY AT SHAPEWAYS
There is no denying that the Lunchbox and Midnight Pumpkin are two of the most iconic RC cars ever. All the wheelie popping fun never tires! Now you can upgrade your CW01 to have double-wishbone front suspension! All without a single modification to the chassis. AMPro's CW01 front end will allow you to install new a-arms, uprights and a central pivot to existing screw holes. Just add an upper threaded link and you are all set! This is an 8mm per side offset front end, perfect for racing and jumping. The zero offset version is also available. Please remember to clean all holes with a 3mm drill bit to prevent binding. Mounts for threaded ball ends are designed for M3 screw diameters.
NOTE-AS OF 5/29/18, THESE ARMS ARE THICKER AND MORE RIGID. THERE IS ALSO A HEAVY DUTY VERSION AVAILABLE THAT ADDS A METAL ROD (THAT YOU NEED TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL) THROUGH THE PIVOT POINT. PART NUMBER 070005-01 AND ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE WIDE, 8MM VERSION.
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
The CW01 chassis has large tires that add more stress to this front suspension. It is not recommended that you run anything other than the stock silver can motor. A hard impact will break this front end. This is not intended for anything other than a very light runner. We are not responsible for broken parts, nor is Shapeways unless there is a defect in the print. This is a fun simple upgrade for your CW01 but please understand that this front end is not as strong as the original and should not be used for bashing of any kind at all.
