British Beaverette Mk I & II Recon Car 1/285

Awaiting the German Invasion of Great Britain, the British Industrie developed some strange weapons and vehicles. One on them was the "Armoured Car Light Standard" or better know as "Beaverette", named after Lord Beaverbrook, the Minister of Aircraft Production, who insisted the production of this car. The Standard Motor Company builded more than 2800 of this cars for the British Home Guard. Also the Beaverette was used by the RAF for security duty on their airfields. This set contains three Beaverettes Mk I and Mk II. each.
In Erwartung der deutschen Invasion Englands entwickelte die Britische Industrie viele seltsame Waffen und Fahrzeuge. Eines davon war das "Gepanzerte Leichte Fahrzeug Standard", besser bekannt als "Beaverette". Das Fahrzeug wurde nach Lord Beaverbrook, dem damaligen Minister für Luftrüstung benannt. Die Standard Motor Company baute mehr als 2800 Beaverettes. Diese wurden an die Home Guard geliefert. Einige diente auch der RAF zur Bewachung von Flugplätzen. Dieses Set beinhaltet je drei Beaverette des MK I und Mk II Ausführung.
