Product Description
The great ship Preussen enjoys the dubious distinction of being the largest sailing ship ever built without auxiliary engines (the other contender for the title is the seven-masted schooner Thomas W. Lawson, which was shorter but heavier).  For almost one hundred years, the Preussen was the only ship to have five full-rigged masts.  Other windjammers may have had five masts, but were never fully rigged on more than four of them.  However, even with the launch of Royal Clipper in 2000, the Preussen still retains the distinction of having the greatest number of sails on a single vessel: 47 in total.  It's all downhill from here, and by that I mean that I simply can't make a sailing ship grander that this one.  I could make one up, but the Preussen is very close to the absolute limit in terms of a sailing ship.

The 1:700 scale option is available in black and white only, due to size constraints.
