Product Description
This is a 1/288-scale four-engine Type P Zeppelin, fully skinned. Gondolas, outboard propeller pods, and the machinegun platform are included. Matching propeller disks and machine gun crew are available as a separate product in Frosted Ultra Detail.

To keep printing costs down, the model is broken into an front and rear half with a reinforced joiner piece between them. (A single-piece model would be vastly more expensive. This replaces an earlier product that was just the framework -- that model is no longer economically viable.)  The fit between the halves is designed to be tight.  Due to the natural small inaccuracies of the printing process, I cannot guarantee that the fit will be exact without some light work on the model.  I recommend you lightly sand one or both sides where they join to get the pieces to go together smoothly.  When joining the halves, take it slowly and move the pressure point around in a circle to make incremental progress.  Be sure the gondolas are lined up -- the band at the bottom is narrower than the other bands.  Should you wish to separate the pieces again, you may have to work hard to take the pieces back apart, making very slight progress in a circular motion around the joint.  Take things slow and do not rush the project and you should get the parts to fit together well.

Two reinforced mounting cylinders are placed along the keel, with conical holes for use with telescoping rods or similar mounts. (You may have to clean out the holes...sometimes they retain the modeling powder.)

All external proportions are correct for a Type-P Zeppelin of this era (within the limits of 3D printing), including the narrower segment along the keel and the 19-segment to 17-segment transition near the tail. Thorsten Brand's diagrams were an excellent reference in putting this together (my thanks!).
