Samsung Gear VR Fan Cover

This cover is for the latest Samsung Gear VR. It is powered by the phone charger, and connects to the VR to charge the phone. (Fast Charge Compatible!!)

It's designed after the current cover, and requires some assembly. Here is where I sourced my parts:

• Dual Male Y Micro USB cable (short cable solderes to the fan) http://amzn.to/1Y20Jgi
• Any 80mm 5vdc brushless fan with brass sleeve (I salvaged mine, similar to http://bit.ly/22RPvlh

The attachement method is designed after the current cover, so it's not the greatest. Some tuning may be required with a knife for the best fit.

If desired, a shielded NEO magnet can be glued behind the fan (between fan bracket and the phone) to attract the phone's internal magnet (used to attach to the the wireless chargers). The shield must face the fan or the fan will not work. 

This has worked very well for my Note 5, which no longer gets abhorrently warm.
