Whilst searching for inspiration to base a peice of jewelry off of, I stumbled across pictures of the ancient Mayan ruins in Guatemala. While the Mayan culture and history interested me, what I found the most inspiration in was their architecture which utilizes large flat platforms and faces with layered patios. However, when taking a closer look at said flat faces, they had small details carved into the stone which turns something very simplistic into something very deep and complex. I used a similar style when designing this pendant by utilizing mostly the extrude tool to create flat faces with carved square indents giving the flat faces more details, and it is all adorned with a sun-like "crown" on top. For just utilizing the extrude tool, I was really satisfied with the outcome.
