Brahma-6 Mark Two For Xiaomi Yi 360 videos

This model is designed to enable those on a budget to capture 360 video for Virtual Reality or just immersive video content instead of the high price GoPro based Rigs. It uses the Xiaomi Yi cameras which are low cost and high performance devices which work very nicely. Unfortunately the software to create these videos cost around £600 at the moment. Any way you can save £1200 on the hardware at least.

 

Settings for the cameras should be 1280x960, high video quality, and it helps to set the startup mode to be video instead of photo, also have wifi start on boot as well for the software that is coming.

There is a video resolution patch for 1600x1200 at 60fps patch, drop this autoexec.ash in this zip file into the root of each camera drive. We will soon be releasing a camera software update when our new software arrives that will set this by default.

The cameras cost from $65/£42 each including shipping, remember you need to add a memory card as well but they only cost about £9 for a 32gb version.

Brilliant little adaptor to mount on base of rig mount with a 1/4 bolts through the hole to give a great camera mount, just get a 25mm (1 inch) bolt through the Rig mount hole into it and mount to stand on other end.

Please note I now have an adaptor for converting to a 5 camera horizontal system which give vertical seams, the other camera works better at this however due to the orientation of the cameras.
